The Swedish Club of Houston has operated a Swedish Language School for many years. It remains the sole provider of Swedish-language instruction in southeast Texas.

Classes are offered at multiple levels according to enrollment, with a primary emphasis on conversational competence, reflecting the needs of students who wish to speak Swedish during travel to Sweden.

The school follows a 15‑week semester schedule, with no classes held during Thanksgiving week. All classes meet once weekly from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Beginner Class (Virtual)
The Beginner class meets virtually on Mondays from 08/31/2026 through 12/14/2026, except that the class will meet on Tuesday during Labor Day week.

Intermediate Class (Virtual / Hybrid)
The Intermediate class meets virtually on Mondays from 08/31/2026 through 12/14/2026, except that the class will meet on Tuesday during Labor Day week. In‑person sessions will be held on the last Monday of each month—9/28, 10/26, 11/30—and on the final class date, 12/14. All in‑person meetings take place at Houston Saengerbund, 1703 Heights Blvd.

Advanced Class (In Person)
The Advanced class meets in person on Wednesdays from 09/02/2026 through 12/14/2026, also at 1703 Heights Blvd.
